    Dream

I was dreaming, I was sure of it.  I was in a darkened room with a pin pointed light.  The light was strangely enough focused on a large frame hanging on the wall of the northern wall.  I approached the picture slowly, not knowing what to expect.  As I got closer, I could suddenly make out a feminine face.  It seemed familiar, but too foreign to really make out.  The young woman's eyes were the first thing to catch my attention; for they were sunken into her face, casting deep shadows beneath her eyes, giving the illusion of pure exhaustion.  A hint of blue showed through the cold gray irises, but showed no signs of any life and they stared ahead as if not seeing any future.  Icy, pale looking skin lay gaunt over high cheek bones, and was a reminiscent of days when they were full, and coloured with a splash of a light blush.  A strangled smile played across lips that looked to be once full and alive with colour, but now, they seemed now to be blue from a deep cold.  Limp curls framed the face, and hair once vibrant with many colours now seemed dead and lifeless.  Suddenly nervous, I walked forward, something in my mind told me I knew who this young woman was.  I did not care for where my dream was headed, I wished at that moment I would wake up, before I could fully realize I knew who was framed in the picture.  My heart began to pound as realization dawned on me, I wanted to run yet my feet were frozen in place as my dream pivoted into a nightmare.  The woman, the girl, in the picture was me.  Her zombie eyes did not only stare into nothingness, they stared into me.  I began to panic, and I could feel my pulse race as my heart reacted to my need to move away from the large frame.  The light dimmed slowly, swallowing the frame in darkness, then the picture, the zombie and then slowly...me.

I awoke quickly, but I did not jump, I did not move from the position that I was in as I still lay in my bed.  I let my heart find its natural pace, only did then I move.  I sat up slowly, and swung my legs slowly and gently from the bed's edge, and my feet hit the cold floor, sending comforting shivers up my spine.  After testing my weight slowly and a few times, I retrieved my balance and shuffled slowly to the mirror on the wall.  Like a small child, afraid of being caught, I peeked slowly around the edge of the mirror.  Two large, startled, blue eyes stared back, and I breathed a sigh of relief.  I wasn't a zombie, my eyes were not sunken into my face and my cheeks were bright red from the panic of my dream.  My lips were parted as I breathed deeply, trying to catch my breath.  My face was normal, and I was going to do everything in my power not to become the zombie in my dream ever again.

  • Italian Man

An old Italian man lived alone in the country.
He wanted to dig his tomato garden, but it was very
hard work as the ground was hard. His only son,
Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old
man wrote a letter to his son and
    described his predicament.

    Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't
be able to plant my tomato garden this year.
I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden
plot. If you were here my troubles would be over. I
know you would dig the plot for me.
    Love Dad

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

    Dear Dad,
Not for nothing, but don't dig up that garden. That's
    where I buried the BODIES.
    Love Vinnie

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local
police arrived and dug up the entire area without
    finding any bodies.
They apologized to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from
    his son.

    Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I
    could do under the circumstances.
    Love Vinnie

  • *falls over*

    What happened to my summer?

(I don't blame you if you don't want to read all this...)

Well, starting tomorrow, I start my full time nanny job... four days, 36 hours a week (I work from 8am to around 6pm sometimes), but that's alright, cause it's a good job, and I work for a great family.  They have a pool, and they have a dog who just had puppies, so I can have that kind of experience.  They also live out in the country and on more then one occasion I've gone tromping out in the fields when they were flooded by eragation water.

This past spring, we've also taken care of six kittens!  You all heard about Teto earlier, well, she had kittens!  Four in fact.  They were so cute~.  It was a great experience taking care of kittens.

Five weeks after the kittens were born, I headed off to Montana to visit my best friend!  That was amazing, I can't put into words how much fun I had.  We were tricking people by pretending to be one another.  She had to work while I was up there, but that gave me a chance to do some exploring on my own.  I also got to go horseback riding A LOT, and Stu (my bff's papa) thought I took lessons.  How rad is that?

So, I came back home, went back to my part-time nanny job, and found two orphaned kittens.  They were all alone, and living off of snails.  Apparently there were seven kittens originally, they know the dog got two, and the mama got hit by a car, where the rest are. *sigh* I'm going to look for them this summer.  But that's how we ended up with Chase, and Gwendollyn.

So then, we had nine cats living at our house.  Take about a crazy house!  Can you imagine six little 7 week old kittens running all crazy like and trying to keep track of them?

A couple of weeks ago, a family came and took two of my kittens.  I was really sad, but I knew they'd be okay, cause that family was a good family.  So then, we were back down to seven.  The changes in Chase and Gwen are amazing, they're still a little sick, but we're taking really really good care of them.  The orphans are going to be adopted by the family I'm a nanny for.  I'm so happy.   The other night, one of my other kitties got adopted.  By another good family.  I wasn't AS sad as the first time, but she was the baby of the family, so it was kind of sad still.

So now, there's six cats, three are our regular cats, Wyatt, Tucker, Teto, and the other three are the kittens, Gwen, Chase, and Rhapsody.  I really want to keep Rhapsody, and I think I prevailed!

So that's four cats for the win!

When I'm older, I think I might start a cat reabilatation center.

In three weeks, we're going on vacation to Arizona!  So today, I went to the game store, and I'm going to buy two games for the drive there.  Yay!  New games always make me happy.

Bleh, I spelt a few words wrong, but I don't care!
